Week 7 of the Pittsburgh Pinball League’s 17th season has concluded. Congrats to JAK and PTY for scoring 12′s this week! Although it is awesome you both scored a 12 neither of you will win the bounty. The bounty will increase to $10 for week 8. Detailed scoresheets can be viewed soon. For standings click here.

    If you are interested in joining the PPL, just show up, introduce yourself and get ready for some fun. Cost is $20 for the whole season and it includes the year end party with lots of free food! You must pay before you play your first week. With the league growing to over 70 members we need dues up front, so we don’t have to track anyone down as the season goes on. We cater to all skill levels from expert to beginner. Everyone makes the finals, and at finals you will be grouped in a division with people of similar skill levels.

    As with previous years you only play one day per week (of your choice). We play on Thursday nights at 7:30pm in the Southside meeting at Kopy’s Bar (80 S 12th St.), Friday nights are at a different location every week and Sunday afternoons at Ace’s Break Away & Play Downtown (417 Smithfield St.) . Your bottom 2 scores are dropped, so you can miss 2 weeks without any penalty to your score.

     Also, at the end of Season 18 we are giving away another pinball machine!!! This year we will be giving away a 1979 Williams’ ‘Flash‘. Every season you enter gets you into the raffle for the machine. Previous giveaway games are: Season 15: Bally’s World Cup Soccer ’94, Season 12: 1971 Gottlieb’s 4-Square,  Season 9: 1978 Bally’s Paragon Season 6: 1974 Williams’ SpaceLab.

    The Pittsburgh Pinball League is the featured league here in Pittsburgh area and is one of the largest pinball leagues in the world with a record setting 83 participants in season 13.

Pittsburgh Pinball League t-shirts pre-sale has ended. We sold out of every shirt in the first and second runs! Awesome. However, if you’d like a shirt, we are taking pre-orders for a THIRD RUN SOON. Stay tuned to the updated info on the order page.

    The PPL is home to some of the best players in the world. Notably, JON REPLOGLE (Qualified A PAPA 14, 4-time PPL Champion and ranked 92nd in the IFPA Rankings), AL THOMKA (3-time PPL Champion and 55th in the IFPA Rankings), FRED COCHRAN (1st place Classics Louisville Arcade Expo, 2nd place classics Chicago Expo,  PPL Champion and ranked 140th on the IFPA rankings.) and PETE HENDRICKS (2nd Place Classics II PAPA 14, Qualified 14th A PAPA 15, 2nd place Louisville Arcade Expo and ranked 103rd in the IFPA Rankings.)
